  1. a public holiday held on the anniversary of the end of World War I (November 11) to honor US veterans and victims of all wars. It replaced Armistice Day in 1954.

  3. The purpose is to thank for their services to the United States on Veterans Day.
  4. It is important to honor the veterans because it is a way of acknowledging the sacrifices they have made while serving their country. Without the service of veterans, Americans may not have the freedoms they do today.
  5. Attend a Veteran's Day event.
      Ask a Veteran about their time in the military, and really listen to the answer.
     Hang a flag in your yard.
    Ask an aging Veteran to share with you the song that most takes them back.
     Visit the gravesite of a Veterans

7.    They sacrificed for us.They need to be honored.
8.  Veterans day needs to be celebrated. Veterans sacrificed for us. They need to be honored. They did not need to sacrificed, but they did anyways. They should always have a feast to thank them. They should be respected twenty-four-seven. They should have a moment of silence. We need to thank them everyday of our lives. They should receive a medal.
