The sting of the Scorpion                                                                                                                               - Elder Patrick of the Seventy
What I learned was that sandals are not shoes. To listen to my parents. Do what I am told. Wear shoes when i’m in the desert. Choose the wright. Not the wrong because it might end up bad. He was badly stung. It started to burn him all the way up his knee. They took him to the nearest hospital. It took them 2 hrs. They thought he was going to die. They put an injection on his knee. In order for the pain to go away

‘’Physical fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body, it is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity. Intelligence and skill can only function at the peak of their capacity when the body is healthy and strong.’’ -President John F. Kennedy
I think this quote is a good one . I think this because i feel better when I do fitness and I don't feel tired or sleep or lazy . I feel happy feel of energy . Which is why I agree with this quote cause if the body feel that when i do exercise then it should be the same with the mind .the mind and the body works together in order for that the body also has to be healthy  or else that is why we feel lazy cause or our bodies aren't health or our mind aren't . So we should try to have physical fitness.
example : if let's say you aren't in the the best shape .but if you get fit you will not only look better but you will feel better, not lazy or tired .

‘’Kindness is the essence of greatness.’’-Joseph B. Wirthlin
Kindness is the essence of greatness and the fundamental characteristic of the noblest men and women I have known. Kindness is a passport that opens doors and fashions friends. It softens hearts and molds relationships that can last lifetimes. Kindness that i have done was help my friend open her locker. The acts of kindness are often accompanied by emotional warmth. Also emotional warmth produces the hormone, oxytocin, in the brain and throughout the body. Of recent interest is its significant role in the cardiovascular system. You need to kind to one another because good may come to you in anyway. Also be kind to your parents in anyway. Help them in whatever you need, because you are going to need their help somehow.

‘’If it is not right, do not do it; if it is not true, do not say it.’’-MARCUS AURELIUS

This quote is telling me that do not say what is not true. And if it is not right do not do it. We should always aim to do what is right and always speak the truth. Be honest and trustworthy. Also to be kind to one another. Do not say false statements. When you know it is not right do not do it. Do what is right. And if you don't have evidence to what you are saying do not say it.

Thanksgiving Day is a national holiday celebrated in Canada and the United States. It was originally celebrated as a day of giving thanks for the blessing of the harvest and of the preceding year. Thanksgiving is celebrated on the second Monday of October in Canada and on the fourth Thursday of November in the United States. Several other places around the world observe similar celebrations. Although Thanksgiving has historical roots in religious and cultural traditions, it has long been celebrated in a secular manner as well. The first Thanksgiving was held in the autumn of 1621 and included 50 Pilgrims and 90 Wampanoag Indians and lasted three days. Thanksgiving didn't become a national holiday until over 200 years later!

‘’Doing what is right, fair and honorable is more important than winning or losing.’’-Chick Moorman

For me this means that is more important do the right than have a big satisfaction doing the wrong. Is more important be honest with yourself and the others than have the respect of the others with lies. Although, doing what is right is good because it is fair to many people in many ways. For example, sharing out what my opinion about someone's project and giving someone another chance to let them share out their opinion. Also it is honorable because you probably played a fair game and you lost and had fun it is better than you knowing you lost. I like this quote because is true and no matter what if you do the right thing you feel good but if you win knowing that you doesn't deserve this you feel really bad.it will be more fun when you win something and that you know you win it by doing the right thing.doing the wrong is like losing and you will feel bad for what you did.

                          ‘’Honesty is the best policy.’’
You should always tell the truth, even when it seems as if it would be useful to tell a lie. This quote is telling me that something that you say which means that it is best to be honest. Also use honesty to encourage, not criticize. Honesty is a powerful tool and like most tools, it can be used for good or evil. It can be used to build others up or it can be used to tear others down. Even while the tone of your words plays a huge role in determining the difference, your motivation plays an even bigger role. Use your words to genuinely build others up, not tear them down. The same truth is always spoken in a different way with a different motivation can have completely different results. You should also be honest to yourself too.

  5. Attend a Veteran's Day event.
Ask a Veteran about their time in the military, and really listen to the answer.
Hang a flag in your yard.
Ask an aging Veteran to share with you the song that most takes them back.
Visit the gravesite of a Veterans
6.
7.    They sacrificed for us.They need to be honored.
8.  Veterans day needs to be celebrated. Veterans sacrificed for us. They need to be honored. They did not need to sacrificed, but they did anyways. They should always have a feast to thank them. They should be respected twenty-four-seven. They should have a moment of silence. We need to thank them everyday of our lives. They should receive a medal.

3 Magic keys to live your life with integrity
  1. Have the courage to say NO.
  2. Have the courage  to face the TRUTH.
  3. Do the right thing because it is right.
The first one is telling me that you need to have the courage to say no because what if they're forcing you to do something, you need to set grounds into your own hands and say no.
The second one is telling me that i need to face the truth. Because the bad stuff you have done that are illegal, need to be face . They need to be taken into the law’s hands.
Finally, the third one is saying that to choose the right. You want to choose the right to do good in life. You don’t want to have a bad name.

‘’He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.’’-Proverbs 13:20
This means that it is probably happiness. That you are choosing the right . Maybe a better life instead of a low life. You are striving high for greatness. That you want an education. For example, a college degree.

What the second one means is that you are striving to be bad. You are the one that is choosing the wrong. For example, the friend that say to be your friends but they are not and they do something bad because they say it's cool and you want to do it because you think it is cool is choosing the wrong. Meaning it is bad. They shall be destroyed because they are hurting the community. Then you are going to jail for that bad thing that you did.

Gainesville  vs Vanguard
From watching this video, I saw that this basketball game occurred in Waco Texas. The problem was that when the basketball team would play they would play in an empty gym every time there was a game. This is an example of  ‘’The best recreation is to do good.’’ by William Penn. They are college basketball players. The crowd from the other school cheered for them because they did not have any supporters.

‘’The best recreation is to do good.’’ -William Penn

This quote is letting me know to do good in life. For example, the best thing you can do is the good. Doing the good makes you feel good about yourself. Being a good person is important as well. If you do good you will feel good. Even if you are the only person doing good and everyone else is doing bad. Although, we also want and need to be good in all standards. For example, our behavior, our feelings and how we express them. Even our behavior at school and how we need to respect our teachers and our elderly. We also need very good sportsmanship.

‘’Right is right, even if everyone is against it;

And wrong is wrong, even if everyone is for it.’’ -William Penn

Right is right, even if everyone is against it because you are choosing the right thing to do. Instead of choosing the wrong. For example ‘’right is right’’ because the right is never going to be wrong because it is credible resources. And it has believable statements. Also it can never be wrong because the right is always going to be right.

And wrong is wrong even though everyone for it. Because they might think that it is cool being bad and choosing the wrong. The wrong is always going to be wrong. Nobody can change that. For example, some kids are at a party and there is like one person that tells them that smoking is bad but that one person that said it ends up doing it. He is choosing the wrong because he can hurt the insides of his body.

‘’’Don’t sacrifice what you want most for what you want now. Write down what you want most and see it often.’’ -Peter Vidmar
What i want most is to have better scores in my math quizzes and my physics quizzes. What I want to see often is that I get my test back and see that is has a perfect score. Also this means you want to meet your goal. You want to meet the standards you set for yourself.

‘’A good name is better than anything you can achieve in this life’’.
  -Mike Krzyzewski

This quote is telling me that you want to have a good name not a bad name because it is the probably the first thing people are going to think of you. For example, you want to have a good name to get a job. You don’t want to have a bad representation.

‘’A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches.’’                                                                                                             -Proverbs 22:1
This quote is letting me know that your actions give you a name. Choosing the right will give you a good name. For example, choosing the wrong will give you a bad name. The statement is also saying that your bad actions give you a bad name and a bad reputation.

It is better to be good than bad. Bad people do not get anywhere. Pick a good name for yourself. Do not choose a bad name for yourself because that is not choosing the right it is choosing the wrong.
