Ambulance dispatcher
Duties / Responsibilities: gathering information related to medical emergencies, the provision of assistance and instructions by voice, support of EMS resources responding to an emergency call.Salary:Police, fire and ambulance dispatchers earned an average $37,460 per year, or $18.01 per hour
Education:
- Complete the level of education required by the hiring agency.
- Earn experience working in a customer service role.
- Take and pass a civil service test.
- Apply for an open dispatch position.
- Complete an interview with the hiring agency.
- Complete a background check.
- Take and pass a drug test.
- Complete a psychological evaluation.
- Be hired as a police dispatcher.
- Complete police and fire dispatch training.
Reflection: I would like to become a ambulance dispatcher, just because it looks interesting to work in but then i would not like to become one just because I am not comfortable being in the back of a truck in a small space. Also because the pay is very minimum.
